HuskyTHON
HuskyTHON is a year-long fundraising effort that benefits Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) in Hartford, CT, which culminates with an 18-hour dance marathon in February. CCMC is a free standing hospital, meaning that without the generous support from individual donors and fundraising events such as HuskyTHON, they would not be able to operate. HuskyTHON began as a small fundraiser in 2000, raising less than $14,000 to now, the largest student-run philanthropy event in the state of Connecticut, raising over $1,000,000 this past year! Over the years, our brothers have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the event and are proud to participate each and every year. HuskyTHON 2019
HuskyTHON 2019 was the event’s most successful outcome to date! Collectively, the students at the University of Connecticut raised over $1.3 million for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT. We are so proud to announce that our brothers personally raised over $12,600 for the event! Special thanks to our Dancer Representative & Team Captain Brother Vincent Zhang, as well as our three brothers who were Morale Captains for this year’s event: Brothers Bobby Butler, Luke Rossi, and Manny Chinyumba. Last but certainly not least, we would like to thank our Miracle Child Andrew (“Andy”) and his family for being absolutely amazing! We can’t wait to do it all over again at HuskyTHON 2020!
